Seymour-Capilano Filtration Plant (SCFP)

This water treatment plant is a leading-edge treatment facility that provides high quality drinking water to Metro Vancouver residents. The plant is the largest filtration plant in Canada and incorporates the largest ultra-violet light disinfection system in the world. The slab of this WTP is treated with Xypex Megamix II, applied as a repair mortar to protect the slab area where rebar is exposed to corrosion. To date, over 148,500 lb of Megamix II has been applied. Xypex Concentrate was also used to fill tie holes and waterproof and protect the external walls of the tanks during the initial construction stage of this $500 million project.
